American Academy of Dermatology
The American Academy of Dermatology is the largest of all dermatologic associations. With a
membership of more than 14,000 physicians worldwide, the Academy is committed to advancing
the diagnosis and medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatment of the skin, hair, and nails;
advocating high standards in clinical practice, education, and research in dermatology; and
supporting and enhancing patient care for a lifetime of healthier skin, hair, and nails.
Dermatology Foundation
The Dermatology Foundation is a national, not-for-profit charitable organization, and was
incorporated in 1964. Dermatologists throughout the world and corporate partners are generous
in their support of the Foundation's mission to shape the future of dermatology. The Dermatology
Foundation focuses on funding research that will advance patient care and help develop
tomorrow's teachers and clinical leaders in the specialty.
Women's Dermatologic Society
The goal of the Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS) is to help all women in dermatology achieve
their greatest personal and professional potential by fostering, promoting, and supporting women's
issues in dermatology; identifying, training, and recognizing women leaders in dermatology; and
providing a forum for developing relationships.
North American Clinical Dermatologic Society
The North American Clinical Dermatologic Society (NACDS) was founded in 1959. The NADCS updates
clinicians by visits to dermatology institutions worldwide and offers its members the opportunity
to visit renowned dermatology programs throughout the world.
